ReplyDeleteAfter the recovery of the aeldari technology from the ignorant Mon'Keigh, the Craftworld Anaigan (Myles Scott) scouting force moved forward towards the predestined location and came face to face with a throng of Orks (Clayton). The Orks, using their brutish technology inflicted great harm on the Aeldari, taking the lives of some of their brave warriors. But through their determination and the strength of their belief that it was their fate to be the vanguard of the force that retakes this world, they held fast and eliminated the Orks down to their leader who saw the futility of his actions and fled before the fist of the Anaigan could close around him. With the spot taken, the technology recovered was put to work, opening the long dormant webway gate to allow the rest of the Broken Blade to make planet fall.

ReplyDeleteThe Cadian 888th made landfall to explore rumours of a hily relic hidden in the forest. Acid rain and fog fell as Commander Bell approached the objective. Strange figures began to appear in the mist, moving towards the reliquary, Commander Bell set his men in a Cadian firing line and began to lets loose with rockets. With rain, fog, and trees obscuring the target the Cadian troopers had little chance in connecting any meaningful shots.
ReplyDeleteOut od the mist came strange guttural howls mixed with High Gothic. Large figures, moving with giant loping bounds came barreling out of the forest. With cries of "CADIA STANDS" the Crazy Eights did what they do best, stand still and hold the trigger. The half man half beast figures melted before a concentrated barrage of las fire and rockets. All but one, who forced his way into the cadian lines. More enemies appeared in the mist, now at close range the brave troopers could see that their opponents were non-other than the Wolves of Fenris!! Obviously they had fallen to chaos and must be purged from the planet. A fierce battle ensued, the Emperor protecting many a guardsmen through unlikely circumstance. In the end, only the psyker leader of the Wolves stood defiant of the Cadian 888th. Sharps Black Rifles, the veterans of many campaigns, gloriously advanced to close on the relic to keep it from the enemy. The psyker lashed out with furious wierd energies, killing many. He charged the Black rifles, vlosing in and hitting the squad hard. But the Rifles faith was strong and the Wolf lords luck had abandoned him. Victorious the Cadian 888th claimed the prize and retreated back into the mist.
